PUMP PROVING SPINDLE

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Selector switch in OFF position
CH temperature selector to maximum
DHW Preheat selector to OFF position
Remove Pump Proving micro switch

WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow
TOPs P4 live testing procedure

Mains Power On

Observation:

With no CH demand the spindle should be retracted.
Test 1:
Apply a CH demand and allow pump to run.
Approximately 2 - 3 seconds after the pump has started the spindle should extend & be smooth in operation.

Note:
You may wish to repeat test several times if problem is intermittent.

Test 2:
Turn Selector switch to OFF position
Turn CH demand OFF
Turn HW tap ON
Selector switch to ON position and allow pump to run.
approximately 2 - 3 seconds after the pump has started the spindle should extend & be smooth in operation.
