VOLTAGE GAS VALVE AT GAS VALVE

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to DC Volts

Turn Hot Water Tap On

Gain access to PCB (use Insulation Mat as required)
Selector switch to DHW position
CH temperature selector to minimum
DHW Preheat selector to OFF position
Unscrew the gas valve lead from the gas valve
and reattach to the gas valve the opposite way as shown

WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow
TOPs P4 live testing procedure

Mains Power On

Measurement:

Allow fan to run and ignition sequence to commence.
During the sparking stage of the ignition sequence, measure the voltage between the two outer pins of the gas valve connector.
Approx. 210 - 230 VDC expected.

Notes:
1. Push probes fully into connector as good connection can be difficult to make.
2. Voltage will only be present for approximately 10 seconds. As burner will not ignite, boiler may go to lockout.

Note:
If test cannot be set up as described do NOT hold connector, use insulation mat.
