Set Appliance State:
Mains Power Off
Selector switch to DHW position
CH temperature selector to minimum
DHW Preheat selector to ON position
Ensure there is a demand for preheat - this can be achieved by running the hot water tap with the gas to the appliance turned off

Observation:
When the preheat is in operation the DHW light on the front of the boiler should flash and the boiler should fire to heat the store of water in the expansion vessel.

To ensure the preheat is switched on turn the hot water temperature selector to its max position.
