Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect and remove rectification lead from heat exchanger

Measurement:

Check rectification electrode and lead is in good overall condition:
  • Ceramic uncracked
  • Electrode not warped or distorted
  • Lead not damaged or shorting
    Measure the resistance from the tip of the
    electrode to the end of the lead. (if needed
    clean tip of electrode to get a good connection)
    Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance).
    Note:
    Ensure all disturbed seals and washers
    are in good condition on reassembly.
