Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove the detection electrode
Measurement:
Thoroughly check the electrode for signs of damage, cracked ceramic insulation and carry out a continuity test.
Note.
1. For continuity test, remove oxide from a section of the electrode, ensure a good connection is made to eliminate a false reading.
2. Before reassembly check the integrity of all disturbed gaskets and seals and replace as necessary.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
