Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove ribbon connector from the controls PCB

Measurement:

Inspect the ribbon cable for signs of damage and measure the resistance of each wire in the ribbon cable.
Expected resistance continuity (zero resistance).
Note.
Make sure that a good connection is made when checking the resistance of the ribbon cable.
