Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove PCB from appliance
Remove electrode leads from spark generator on the PCB
Remove electrode leads from spark generator on the PCB
Measurement:
Measure the resistance between the tip of the ignition electrode to the + lead at the PCB.
Resistance should be approximately 1kOhm.
Measure the resistance between the earth spade at the burner to the - lead at the PCB.
Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance).
Inspect the leads and electrode for
any signs of damage or shorting.
Resistance should be approximately 1kOhm.
Measure the resistance between the earth spade at the burner to the - lead at the PCB.

Inspect the leads and electrode for
any signs of damage or shorting.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
