Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect rectification lead from the PCB and from the rectification electrode

Measurement:

Check for continuity (zero resistance) between each end of the rectification lead.
Inspect the rectification lead for any signs of damage or shorting.
