Set Appliance State:

Gas Off
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Selector Switch OFF
Gas Control Knob in Pilot Ignition position

Observation:

Repeatedly press the Ignition Button, can sparking be seen at the Electrode?
