Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Remove the gas valve connectors from the gas valve
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Measurement:
Reset appliance (press and hold reset button for 5 seconds, then release).
Measure voltage at both of the disconnected gas valve connectors.
Approximately 38 volts DC should be measured at both locations.
Notes:
1. Take care not to short the connections.
2. There are different versions of this appliance, connections to the gas valve can be 2 x purple leads or blue and purple leads.
3. Lockout will occur after 5 attempts to ignite, reset as required until test complete.
