Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Ensure appliance is cool

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the overheat connections at the ST16 plug (two orange wires)
Is the resistance short circuit?
