Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Measurement:

Test for continuity between the earth, live and neutral wires of the pump harness end to end in turn.
Note:
It is possible to remove cover for pump wiring without draining and removing the pump with the use of an offset screwdriver.
