Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect leads from the fan

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure the resistance between where the white and black wires were.
Resistance should be approximately 97 Ohms.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between where the red and black wires were.
Resistance should be approximately 51 Ohms.
Test 3:
Measure the resistance between where the white wire was to a suitable earth point.
Resistance should be greater than 1M Ohm
