Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect diverter microswitch and disconnect leads

Measurement:

Manually make the microswitch.
Whilst the switch is made, check for continuity across the two connectors.
