Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Boiler Operating Switch / Programmer set to HEATING and WATER
Boiler Temperature Control in MAX position
Connect a U-gauge to the burner pressure test point
Boiler Operating Switch / Programmer set to HEATING and WATER

Measurement:
Allow the burner to cross light from the pilot.
Does the burner ignite at a low burner pressure of approximately 3.2mb and gradually increase
to pre-set pressure over a period of approximately 2 minutes?
When the boiler has reached a reasonable operating temperature turn down the boiler temperature control.
Does the burner gas pressure reduce as the boiler temperature control is turned down?
Notes:
If boiler modulates down to off position there may be a delay of two minutes (minimum) before boiler re-ignites.
It may be necessary to reduce the heating load by turning off some radiators to reduce time taken for this test.
When U-gauge is removed pressure test point should be tightened & checked for gas tightness.
