Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Gain access to internal clock
Disconnect the two leads from the microswitch terminals 3 and 4
Clock switched ON
Disconnect the two leads from the microswitch terminals 3 and 4
Clock switched ON
Measurement:
Measure the resistance between the clock microswitch terminals 3 and 4.
Expected resistance short circuit.
Expected resistance short circuit.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
