Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove rectification lead from PCB & electrode

Measurement:

Measure the resistance of the rectification lead.
Expected resistance short circuit.
Also visually inspect the lead for any signs of damage.
