Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Remove electrode lead from spark generator and make safe
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
Reset boiler if required.
Allow appliance to commence its ignition sequence.
Approximately 5 seconds after the fan has started, can sparking be heard from the spark generator (see note)?
Note:
Sparking will only be present during the sparking phase of ignition, the appliance will have 3 attempts of ignition before lockout occurs, reset boiler as required.

and refit as necessary
