Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect the two leads from terminals 3 and 4 on the clock
Clock switched ON

Measurement:

Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 4 on the clock.
Expected resistance short circuit.
