Set Appliance State:

Remove the sump cover at the bottom of the primary heat exchanger
Note:
The sump should be empty if the trap and pipe are clear but it is advisable to take precautions to prevent water spillage

Observation:
Test 1:
Visually inspect the sump, it should be clear of debris and water, also check the sump hole at the back of the heat exchanger is clear.
Is the sump clear?
Test 2:
Inspect the pipe running from the bottom of the sump to the condensate trap.
This can only be carried out by removing the one end of the pipe from the trap and then inspecting it.
Do not try and remove the hose from the bottom of the sump as if removed the only way to re fit it correctly is to remove the primary heat exchanger.
Is the pipe clear?

and refit as necessary
