Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Ensure boiler is not in an overheat condition
Remove white leads from the overheat thermostat (thermocouple cut-out)

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the exposed terminals of the thermostat.
Reconnect leads after test.
