Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Measurement:
Depress the lighter switch button on the boiler control panel and measure the resistance across the Red wire (connection 2) and the Green wire (connection 4) at the lighter switch.
Note 1: Ensure the lighter switch button is fully depressed.
Note 2:: Two types of switch are used on the boiler. Type 1 is positive action (definite click heard), type 2 is soft action.
Note 3: Lighter switch button is situated on the control panel, the control box will need to be opened to gain access to the leads. Care should be taken when reassembling the control box.
