Remove the front cover from the boiler by first pulling off the plastic control knobs, unscrewing the retaining ring around the thermocouple knob, and the 2 C.P. screws in the control panel.
Unclip the 2 retaining clips at the top and bottom of the casing.
Carefully pull forward the case and remove.
Notes:
This appliance has a Case Safety Switch that is operated by the outer case when it is fitted. Its purpose is to prevent the boiler from being fired with the case removed.
When testing the boiler with the case removed the switch has to be kept depressed to enable the boiler to function, temporary clamping as per manufactures instructions is acceptable.
The Case Switch SHALL NOT be PERMANENTLY DISABLED.
Removal or lowering of the control box requires the temperature/pressure gauge to be removed. It is held in position by a clip there is an automatic sealing valve behind the gauge which operates when the gauge is removed.
Draining of the appliance to remove temperature/pressure gauge should not be necessary.
