Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove ignition electrode

Measurement:

Thoroughly inspect the ignition electrode for:
  • Cracks and damage to the electrode ceramic
  • Distortion
  • Good general condition
  • Gap between ignition electrodes is 3.5 - 4.5 mm
    Measure the resistance from the tip of the electrode to the spark generator connection.
    Expect continuity / zero resistance.
