Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove the ignition electrode from the burner door
Disconnect ignition lead at the PCB
Disconnect earth lead from electrode and the PCB
Disconnect ignition lead at the PCB
Disconnect earth lead from electrode and the PCB
Measurement:
Test 1.
Measure the resistance of the ignition electrode and lead.
Expected resistance approximately 1 kOhm.
Thoroughly inspect the ignition electrode and lead for;
Wear and/or warping.
Contamination.
Cracks and/or damage to ceramic.
Confirm electrode spark gap is 3mm +/- 0.5mm.
Test 2.
Measure the resistance of the earth lead.
Expect continuity / zero resistance.
Also visually inspect the condition of the earth lead.
Measure the resistance of the ignition electrode and lead.
Expected resistance approximately 1 kOhm.
Thoroughly inspect the ignition electrode and lead for;
Test 2.
Measure the resistance of the earth lead.
Expect continuity / zero resistance.
Also visually inspect the condition of the earth lead.
