RESISTANCE SPARK GENERATOR AND HARNESS FOR FUSE INVESTIGATION

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to Resistance

Remove connector CN3 from the PCB

Measurement:

Test 1.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 (brown) and
pin 2 (blue) on connector CN3.
Test 2.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 (brown) on
connector CN3 and a suitable earth connection.
Test 3.
Measure the resistance between pin 2 (blue) on
connector CN3 and a suitable earth connection.
Expected resistance greater than 1 MOhm on all tests.
A reading of O.L on each test is acceptable as this
is greater than 1 MOhm.

Note.
On some PCB's the connector will be labelled as CN22 not CN3 and its orientation will differ, however the test points and expected results remain the same.
