Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove the electrical connector from the gas valve

Measurement:

Test 1.
Measure the resistance between pins 1 and 4
on the gas valve.
Expected resistance approximately 7.2 KOhms.
Test 2.
Measure the resistance between pin 1 and the
earth pin on the gas valve.
Expected resistance greater than 1 MOhm.
Note.
1. A reading of O.L on test 2 is acceptable as this is greater than 1 MOhm.
2. The pins on the gas valve should be numbered.
