RESISTANCE IONISATION ELECTRODE

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to Resistance

Remove ionisation electrode from combustion chamber door
Disconnect ionisation lead at the inline connector

Measurement:

Measure the resistance of the ionisation electrode and lead.
Expect continuity / zero resistance.
Also visually inspect the condition of the insulation
and the ceramic.

Note.
1. If required clean the electrode with a small brush (not with a wire brush) or emery paper.
2. Always examine any seals or gaskets, replacing where necessary.
