RESISTANCE DIVERTER MOTOR AND HARNESS FOR FUSE INVESTIGATION

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to Resistance

Remove connector CN9 from the PCB

Measurement:

Test 1.
Measure the resistance between the brown
and blue pins on connector CN9.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the black
and blue pins on connector CN9.
Expected resistance for both tests 9.4 KOhms or greater.
Test 3.
Measure the resistance between the brown and
black pins separately to a suitable earth.
Expected resistance greater than 1 MOhm on each test.
A reading of O.L on test 3 is acceptable as this is greater than 1 MOhm.

Note.
On some PCB's the connector will be labelled as CN08 not CN9 and its orientation will differ, however the test points and expected results remain the same.
