Set Appliance State:
Gas Off
On/Off Switch OFF
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Selector switch in DHW position
Disconnect the two electrode leads from the electrodes
Position the leads approximately 4mm apart.
CARE! - keep clear of electrodes during this test.
Selector switch in DHW position
Disconnect the two electrode leads from the electrodes

Observation:
Allow the fan to run and the boiler to begin its ignition sequence.
After approximately 5 seconds can sparking be seen between the ends of the electrode leads?
After approximately 5 seconds can sparking be seen between the ends of the electrode leads?
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
