Set Appliance State:
Mode selector switch to Off/Reset position
Set Multimeter to AC Volts 
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Hot water temperature control set to maximum
Note:
To perform this test safely remove the ignition PCB from the Gas Valve and place in a position with the terminals exposed
Use insulation mat as necessary

Measurement:
Mode selector switch to DHW position.
Allow fan to run and ignition sequence to commence.
Measure the voltage across connection 1 and connection 4 on connector where it should fit on the Gas Valve.
NOTE:
It is not easy to obtain a reading inside the connection and care must be taken, especially when the boiler is sparking.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
