Set Appliance State:

Gas Off
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Isolate Mains Power to appliance
as per TOP's P4

Disconnect one of the grey wires from the modulating solenoid

Measurement:

Measure the resistance across the modulating solenoid. Resistance should be approximately 80 Ohms.
Reconnect the wire after test.
