To connect a probe to the multi meter first plug in the K-Type adapter, making sure it is fitted the correct way round, then plug the probe into the adapter. Use the probe in the normal way to measure the temperature as required.

The temperature setting of the multi meter is, as the name suggests, for measuring temperatures. To work it requires a thermocouple probe C00-169, T00-146 or T00-210) be connected to the meter via a "K-Type" Adapter Block (T00-159).

If while measuring a temperature the reading goes down. Check that the adapter is connected to the meter correctly, the polarity is important and is marked on the adapter block with "+" and "-".

The reading can be changed between Fahrenheit and Celsius by pressing the "Range" button below the display, the current unit is shown in the upper right corner of the display.
