Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove connector A8 from the PCB
Remove diverter valve head from body

Measurement:

Test 1:
If the spindle is extended test between pins 1 and 3.
Expect approximately 9 Kohms.
If the spindle is retracted test between pins 1 and 5.
Expect approximately 9 Kohms.
If the spindle is not fully in one position test between
pins 1 & 3 then 1 & 5.
Expect approximately 9 Kohms.
Test 2
Measure the resistance between pins 1, 3 and 5 to earth.
Expected resistance on each test 1 Mohm or greater.
