MODULATING SOLENOID VOLTAGE

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to DC Volts

Turn Hot Water Tap On

Gain access to PCB (use Insulation Mat as required)
Selector switch to DHW position
CH temperature selector to Min
DHW temperature selector to Max

WARNING! Mains voltage is expected during test, follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure

Mains Power On

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure the voltage at the purple connection to neutral.
Test 2:
Measure the voltage at the pink connection to neutral.
For both tests approximately 25 volts should be present
during the ignition process.

Note:
Voltage will only be present during sparking phase of ignition sequence if the burner does not ignite, it may be necessary to reset the boiler.
