Set Appliance State:
Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Turn Hot Water Tap On

Measurement:
Reset appliance if required.
(press and hold the reset button for 4 seconds then release)
Allow the fan to run and the ignition sequence to commence.
Monitor the DC voltage to the gas valve during the ignition sequence, 16V DC or greater should be present during the sparking stage of the ignition cycle.
Is the voltage measured as expected?
Note:
Appliance will attempt to ignite 5 times before lockout, reset as necessary to complete the test.
