Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Disconnect the inline connector to the safety fuse and coding resistor
Measurement:
Measure the resistance across the resistor.
Expect approximately 7.5 Kohms.
Expect approximately 7.5 Kohms.

and refit as necessary
