Set Appliance State:

DHW Demand
DHW Selector in Maximum (+) position
CH Selector in Minimum (-) position
ON/OFF Switch in ON position
DHW Selector in Maximum (+) position
CH Selector in Minimum (-) position
ON/OFF Switch in ON position
Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Disconnect plug from gas valve and make safe

Measurement:
Measure the voltage between the blue (pin 9) and red (pin 18) on the connector marked X20.
During the sparking stage of the ignition sequence a voltage between approximately 16V and 24V DC should be measured.
Note:
The appliance will try to ignite 5 times before going to lockout and the voltage will only be present when the appliance is attempting ignition.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
