Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Gain access to PCB (use Insulation Mat as required)
Ensure a flow rate above 2 litres per minute
Ensure a flow rate above 2 litres per minute

Measurement:
Measure the DC voltage between pin 1 on connector X2 and a suitable earth.
Expect approximately 2.2 vdc.
