Observation:
The ECOmax family of boilers have an in built multifunction display
for assisting in fault finding. The display has the following four modes:-
Normal Mode
Under normal conditions the boiler display will show the flow temperature,
e.g. '0-105' degrees C. This indicates the boiler is operating correctly.
Fault Mode
Should a fault develop in the boiler, the display will show a 'fault code' indicating what the problem may be.
The fault code appears as a letter 'F' followed by a two digit number e.g. 'F.21'.
Diagnostic Mode
In diagnostic mode the boiler may be interrogated in order to obtain the status of certain components.
To display the diagnostic mode both buttons under the display should be pressed simultaneously.
Once the required code is displayed the right hand button should be pressed, the display now shows the result of the diagnostic query.
Status Mode
The display may also be used to show the current status of the boiler in its operating cycle.
To select status mode press the right hand button once, pressing it a second time will return to normal mode.
The status mode is helpful in diagnosing faults where a fault code is not displayed.
