Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Disconnect the 3 wire speed control from the pump assembly and make safe
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Measurement:
Reset appliance if required.
(press and hold the power button for 4 seconds then release)
Allow the pump to run during the appliance self-check.
Measure the DC voltage between pin 20 of connector X2 and an earth (use the copper pipe to the gas valve as earth).
Expect approximately 16 Vdc or greater.
Is the voltage measured as expected?
