Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Turn Hot Water Tap On
Remove ignition lead from spark generator
| WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow TOPs P4 live testing procedure |
Observation:
Reset appliance if required.
Approximately 3 seconds after the fan starts, can a sparking / clicking sound be heard coming from the spark generator?
Note.
1. Sparking / clicking sound occurs for approximately 4 seconds, then restarts after approximately 6 seconds. This will be repeated 5 times before lockout occurs, reset as required until test complete.
3. It may take approximately 40 seconds for the boiler to recognise
a demand and fan run, this will depend upon the boiler status.

and refit as necessary
