INSPECTION ELECTRODE

Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

Set Multimeter to Resistance

Remove electrode assembly from boiler

Measurement:

Thoroughly check the spark electrode for wear, contamination, cracks and damage, confirm electrode gap is 4mm +0.5mm
Confirm resistance of electrode & lead (see note 1.)
Expected resistance approximately 4.7 kOhms.

Note.
1. if required clean the electrode with a small brush (not with a wire brush) or emery paper.
2. Refer to adapt regarding any gasket replacement requirements.
