OBSERVATION SPARKING OCCURS

Set Appliance State:

Gas Off

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4

CH Demand

Remove electrode lead from spark generator & position as illustrated using a crocodile clamp approximately 5mm from spark terminal
Do not touch any part of the appliance during this test

WARNING! - Mains voltage is expected during test follow
TOPs P4 live testing procedure

Mains Power On

Observation:

If required, reset boiler.
Allow self-check to complete and ignition sequence to commence.
Does sparking occur (see note)?

Note.
Sparking phase of ignition will last for approximately 4 seconds, the boiler will enter lockout after 3 attempts of ignition, approximately 30 seconds between each attempt, reset as required until test is complete.
