Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Carefully remove the spark electrode from the boiler
(If you suspect gasket will be damaged when taking
electrode out then remove fan & burner to inspect in situ)

Measurement:
Inspect the spark electrode assembly for good overall condition i.e. clean, no cracked ceramic and not warped.
Measure the resistance between the ends of the spark electrode, expect continuity/zero resistance.
Check the spark gap between the two ignition electrodes is approximately 4mm.
Note.
Before refitting inspect all sealing
gaskets and replace if damaged.

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
