Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect leads from the fan

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure resistance across the exposed terminals of the fan motor.
Expected resistance approximately 45 Ohms.
Test 2:
Measure resistance across fan terminal 1 to earth.
Expected resistance greater than 1 MOhm.
Test 3:
Measure resistance across fan terminal 2 to earth.
Expected resistance greater than 1 MOhm.
