Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Disconnect the orange wire and the top brown wire from the selector switch (See Picture)
Selector switch in CH & HW mode

Measurement:

Measure the resistance between the exposed spade connectors.
Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance).
