Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Position PCB as illustrated in image
Disconnect fan connector at the fan and make safe

Measurement:

Measure the resistance between the brown wire
at the illustrated connector and the mains
neutral connection.
Resistance should be short circuit (zero resistance).
