Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
The pump is not an integral part of the appliance and will be fitted elsewhere on the system
Disconnect live and neutral from pump

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure resistance across the pump neutral terminal and pump live terminals.
Resistance will vary by pump but should be above 80 Ohms.
Test 2:
Measure resistance across the pump neutral terminal and earth.
Expected resistance open circuit.
Test 3:
Measure resistance across the pump live terminal and earth.
Expected resistance open circuit.
