Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Disconnect both wires from the overheat thermostat

Measurement:

Measure the resistance between the two terminals of the overheat thermostat.
Reconnect wires after this test.
